80. John Carl SCHEIT was born on 21 Sep 1951 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. He died on 10 Feb 2004 in Osseo Hospital, Osseo, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. John Scheit

John Scheit, 52, of rural Fairchild,died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at the Osseo Hospital.

John, son of Eric and Cecelia (Zjala) Scheit, was born Sept. 22, 1951, in Eau Claire. He attended grade and high school in Osseo. At the age of 18, he moved to Racine, where he met and married Sue Meekma. While in Racine he worked at J. I. Case and also drove truck for Jung Brothers. He later was a self-employed truck driver, until a disability forced him to retire. He moved to Fairchild in 1995. Thoughout his life, John enjoyed motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Scheit of Gilbert, AZ; daughter Tina Palacios of Gilbert; son Jason Scheit of Racine; three grandchildren, Stacey Scheit, Antoinette and Anthony Palacios; three brothers, Bruce (Pat)Scheit of Fairchild, Tom (Linda) Scheit of Racine, Bob Scheit of Osseo; sister Susan (Wayne) Coey of Osseo; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandy Scheit, Shelby Scheit, Cathy (Steven) VanMerbeek, Rick (Cheryll) Meekma, Patty (John)Rangel, Mark (Paula) Meekma, Scott Meekma, all of Racine, David (Robin) Meekma of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.

John's parent's and brother David preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Friends may call two hours before services at the funeral home. He was cremated on 14 Feb 2004.

He was married to Susan Jeane MEEKMA in Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin. John Carl SCHEIT and Susan Jeane MEEKMA had the following children:
